Trip to Montana!

I thought I would share my pictures from MT there isn't alot of them b/c I kept my trip pretty low key.

I drove up to Deer Lodge for a day to spend some time with the girls!

Of course it was Potato time so Dad was busy loading trucks the whole time we were there.

On Saturday we decided to get home because Logan had an AWANA derby car race on Sunday afternoon. We were driving along just fine when they decided at about 4 in the afternoon to close the roads in Wheatland Wyoming. I was so close to getting home when they did this to me. Well we searched about 4 different hotels and they were all booked because everybody got stuck in the same town. This is not a big town at all. Anyway we found a hotel that happened to have rooms available. They decided to raise their prices and we paid almost $100.00 a night. Got into the room and the heater didn't work, they had to bring me a little tiny heater you would use in your bathroom. There was a gap above the door so the cold air could come through. In order to lock the door there was a string that would wrap around your door handle. But we had a bed to sleep in, after I requested clean sheets.
I took some pictures so everybody could relive the experience with us! Although no picture could really portray the true thing.

Then on top of it all the bathroom wasn't completely fixed so their were boards and nails sticking out everywhere.

I had to stick the boards in front of the sink so they were not in our way and so we didn't have to look at all the yucky stuff under the sink. Quite the experience.
Anyway we made it home in time for Logans derby car race.

He didn't win first or second like he wanted to we got I believe 5th out of 10 kids. we had complications with our wheels. Oh well it was fun and there is always next year.

That all till next time!!!

Drive in Movie Theater Night

Sunday night AWANAs had a drive in movie theater night. All the kids had to make cars out of boxes. Some where simple others went above and beyond. They did a little parade around the church gym and then ate pop corn and juice and watched a movie "veggie tales" from their cars. As is why they call it the drive in movie theater night. Logan decided that he wanted his car to have batman on it so we spent 2 days making his little car.
Here is a video of the parade they had

Then they got all their cars lined up infront of the movie screen and got their popcorn and juice and watched their movie.

Swimming Update/Crazy dog

This is Logan & Cinderella in his AWANA vest. He was excited because he earned his first badge and since the picture has been taken he has earned his crown with his first jewel.
Here is video of a quick piece from Logans swimming lessons. We are making huge progress in the swimming department. He is very excited to move up to the next level come May.

Plus here is a video of our crazy dog, Cinderella. She would chase her tail all day long if she could.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS GETAWAY

This weekend I finally got a Saturday off so we decided to make the best of it. We packed the car, loaded everybody inside and took off for Glenwood Springs, CO.
It is an almost 3 hour drive into the mountains. We stayed at Hotel Colorado. Its a historical hotel there. The hotel itself has had many famous visitors in the past including, President William Howard Taft, President Theodore Roosevelt, and Molly Brown. Its really quite the interesting hotel, especially if you like historical stuff. It is so old that there is a notice that tells you to allow at least 7 minutes for the hot water to come through your shower, depending on the demand of water at the time!!

We went to the hot springs there. It was a little on the salty side of things but all in all a experience to say at least we went there.

This is when it really started to get cold when the sun went down
.

And then the drive home!!

Happy Valentines Day!

I thought I would share our dinner experience with everyone because it was just so unique to me. I've never had food like it before. We decided to go to the Elephant Bar Restaurant for dinner.

The food was so cool looking I took a picture of all of it.
The starters

This is how Chris looked after we placed our order and they came back 10 minutes later say that they ran out of ribs!

Then came the main course.

I think the best part was the drink that I ordered.

On Thursday night we had Aunt Kathy over for her birthday and made her dinner and cake. Then Logan stayed with Aunt Kathy for a few hours on Valentines Day!!
if you want to look at the inside of the restaurant they are in a few different spots around the country check out www.elephantbar.com
Until next time.
