Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Merry Christmas to everybody....This year was super quiet for us. We decided to open the Christmas presents on Christmas Eve because the boys could hardly wait to try out all the new stuff.
Christmas day is being spent playing the new Wii. Cant pull them away from it.

For all technical purposes we had to put the present in the stocking....besides its kind of cute.

Thanks to Aunt Amanda and Aunt Elizabeth we are styling with new Holiday Sun glasses!

Logan got nicely dressed up to go to the Christmas Eve Service...Its rare to see him want to get his nice clothes on.

We have plans to go to BlackHawk on the 1st, since its a day off and Chris' birthday. We have some friends we will be going with, and Logan will be staying with Aunt Kathy.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

New Member of the Family

Yesterday we brought home our little puppy.

She is a chihuahua, and about 6 weeks old. Logan named her Cinderella-Jasmine, I think we'll stick to just calling her Cinderella. Its kind of a big name for a little dog but that was Logan's choice. So begins raising a new Child (close enough) we'll be working on potty training and everything that comes along with having a new puppy. Logan was very excited to get her and promised to take "very good care of the puppy."

We went and looked at her a few weeks ago and had to finalize the convincing of Chris to get a puppy. He's being a good sport going along with it. He pretends that he's not excited about the puppy and may not say that he likes it but the photo proves opposite.

She spends most of her day sleeping, suppose that's how it will be til she gets a little bigger.

Logan is still doing swimming lessons, and we're finally making progress. Its fun to see him get a little more better and confident every time. He wants to join karate in January, but that activity is yet to be determined.

Have a Merry Christmas...More updates to come!!!

Logan's Birthday

Guess what we're already 8!!! Logan celebrated his birthday last weekend with some friends and they went to Utah Pool. Then on Tuesday he got to bring cupcakes to school and they had a party for him. On Sunday we are having Rich and Barb and Kathy over for a little aunt/uncle birthday party...One kid so many parties!!
This year was the power ranger theme..He was very excited to pick out his cake and cups and party stuff.

He had about 7 friends over and they went swimming, down the waterslide, and played on the water play ground. They had a good time.

This is a picture of my friend Nadine...She also was promoted to Service Manager 1 with me at my branch..Which was nice to be promoted with your friend. So we deciced since we have to share a desk a computer, a phone ext...we might as well have a picture of us together sitting on our desk....

We also wasted no time getting our house decorated for Christmas...So I had to show everybody our very first Christmas Tree in Colorado..Living in the small apartment allowed no room for one so we finally got one.

BUSY BUSY WEEK

Well I guess while Dad and Chris and having fun attending the Denver Broncos vs Miami Dolphins Game I might as well update this blog.

Mom and Dad arrived on Tuesday and so the running around began. On Wednesday we went to Estes Park with Aunt Kathy. It is always fun to run around and see all the little shops that they have. The problem is try to not find stuff to buy!

On Thursday Mom and Dad helped Logan carve his pumpkins for Halloween. I was so busy at work that I missed out on it this year. But they got it done and they both looked great.

Take note in the picture for the lack of leaves on my ground I will show you why later.

On Friday was Logans favorite Holiday besides Christmas. He decided this year to dress up as a White Rino Power Ranger. Who or what that character entails only he knows!

I didn't buy any candy because we were going to go trick or treating. But lesson learned. When you live in a house kids will come anyway. Next year I will have the candy on hand for before and after we leave the house, as to not disappoint any more kids again.
Off to the church party we went. We all got to eat free hot dogs, soda, and there was alot of candy. They called it the TRUNK OR TREAT. Folks had their cars lined up and the kids just got to get candy out of decorated car trunks. Then inside they had balloons and face painting and magic tricks. In Sunday service they estimated they had anywhere between 2,000-2,500 people attending the TRUNK OR TREAT

Saturday night we had Barb, Rich, and Kathy over for game night. First we all learned how to milk cows and the dirty part of living on a dairy farm when we watched MIKE ROWES DIRTY JOBS on THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL. ( good watching if you get that channel)
Then we had a long night of playing the game apples to apples. Now key advice if your going to play with Uncle Rich you need to pick the least obvious answer and you may possible get some points.

When buying a house trees are nice and they provide great shade, but do you ever think about those darling wonderful leaves and what happens to them in the fall.
Well I love my trees and they were great this summer. I have already raked my leaves 3 times this year, and in less than 4 days this is what I am left with.

And just look at all those leaves that are still waiting to fall to the ground. I may never get them all raked up. Wish me luck

To end things on a good note. I finally got my promotion at work. I am no longer a teller at Wells Fargo. I got promoted to Service Manager 1. That job requires me to schedule the tellers to work, help them get their sales, take all the crabby customers, and make sure that we are getting all 5's in our shops ( meaning that when we survey a customer they feel that we treated them well.) Very excited I worked a long time to get this and attended tons of training for it.

Just for Fun

I thought these were fun so I decided to post them on here....

More pictures to come with Trick or Treating and Pumpkin carving on the way. Mom and Dad will also be here the last week of October, so I'm sure that we'll have something to post about it.
Chris and Dad get to go to a Denver Broncos game on Sunday November 2!!! Lucky them!!

Fall Fun

I haven't updated this lately so here it goes.....
For everybody who has been wondering we officially have decided not to move to Nebraska. There may be a better time later in life that we can jump at that opportunity, so for now we stay put.
For Chris we decided to go fishing, it was a very cold morning as you can see for yourself. No fish caught, just really cold hands and feet.

That would be the first and the last time I get up to go fishing at 5 AM.

We also went to a fun place to get pumpkins. There were pumpkins everywhere, a farmers market, a straw maze and other fun stuff to do. It was good for an afternoon away.

Other than that not a whole lot going on down in this part of the world. Logan is doing really well in school, and we still haven't had any bad reports. Its a nice change of pace for him. There are about only 5 boys in his class and about 3 teachers. Makes for alot of one on one time. He's even participating in gym class which is a big improvement for him.

Another Holiday has passed.

What an exausting day, yet we had a good time. We spent the day with Aunt Kathy and headed up to Evergreen for a couple hours. It was a good time, BBQ a little and of course for Logan go and climb on all the big rocks.

We then went to a place called Tiny Town it was fun to see. Logan enjoyed it. We rode the train and walked around and looked at all of the little buildings.

It was fun to see everything. We also went to check out the lake real quick no fishing this time.

Rockies Game and First Day of School

So we got free tickets from my work to see the Rockies game on Sunday...Who can pass up a free game. Trying to work on certain relatives of ours to come and visit us and go to a game with us (you know who you are!!)

Yes we really were up that high in the stadium. I guess that's what you get when the tickets were free. Logan was afraid at first to be that high, but by the middle of the game he realized he wasn't going to fall.

Today (Monday) Logan had his first day of school at the new school. He is now attending Greenwood Elementary School. The bus still comes as early as the first one, about 7 am or so, and he gets there about 7:40 am. He seemed to have a good first day and his teacher said that he worked really hard. He does have one of his teachers aides from the last school there which seems to help with the transition.

Fun Events

We've done a few fun things so far since getting back from Montana. The other day we went swimming with Aunt Kathy. Don't worry that's not a bruise on our face in the picture. The day before we went to a community carnival and Logan got the batman logo tattooed on his forehead.

Sunday afternoon we went to the zoo. It was nice to get out and weather had finally stopped raining.

Of course we had to look and see everything. It was really a nice zoo here. I suggest if you've never been you should go sometime. We both agreed that it is way better than the Phoenix zoo!! (sorry Ludy)

And yes I did cut 7 inches off my hair. I told everybody that once the wedding was over the hair was going to leave. And so it did!!!

Okay thats all for an update for now. Logan has a new injury calling my name. We'll update you on it if we have any broken bones but I think we'll survive!!

School starts August 25. Logan will be starting a new school, Greenwood village Elementary School. He will have one of his aide from last year also be an aide this year so that will help in the transition.
