Rain rain go away

Well.....Memorial Day wasn't the biggest success that we've had. We did manage to get our food BBQ'd and then race down the mountain in the rain and fog. We had a chance to go climb the big rocks which seems to be Logan's favorite thing to do. Chris tried his first hand at starting a fire, not very successful. He'll have to attend more of Logan's Boy scouts and learn first hand how to start a fire. (Actually the wood was just wet!) We went with Aunt Kathy up to Evergreen it was fun just to get out of the city for a while. Thursday I will be going to Logan's new school. Yes we are transferring again, I was kind of bummed because he was doing so good at his new school. The program that he attends which is the development and behavior program is quiting at the school he is currently attending and transferring down the road from that school. So off we are to try to adjust to a new school. We talk about it and it doesn't seem to bother him a whole lot. The good thing about it is that his friends that he already goes to school with will also be transferring. For Logan the new meds are really working, its nice to have a constant pleasant side to Logan he doesn't get as mad as quickly and as dramatically. We're super excited for August and getting to see everybody again. We'll probably be there July 27 til the following Tuesday.

Getting Summer Started

Not much new going on over here in Aurora. Logan just lost his 2 front teeth and had visit from the tooth fairy. Very exciting around here. It has been really nice weather around here and Chris has had an opportunity to try out his new BBQ. His Mom was here for a few days to visit us and of course we ran all over the place and stayed fairly busy. Logan is starting a new med this week. Hopefully it will help him. Its mostly b/c due to the TBI he has a mood issue its always up and down so this should help him with that and help him put things in perspective for him to be able to comprehend things at a normal level. It will take a while before it kicks in and for us to know if it is the right med for him. His teacher has encouraged him to get involved in soccer so we will have to see in the fall what we can do. It seems to be a big sport out here. He is starting to like sports now, he wants to play baseball every night or kick around the soccer ball, glad that he is finding stuff that he wants to do.
We finally have a best friend. This is Logan's friend Micah, its good for both of them due to the fact that they are both only children. They can learn from each other on how to treat friends and share. Believe me at sometimes you would think they were related because they almost seem like they love to hate each other. But majority of the day and at the end of the day they stay friends. They don't get to go to school together but they do see each other at after care and in boy scouts.

Other than that not a whole lot going on around here, just thought I'd better send out an update.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!

Just thought I would let everybody know!!!!

Logan had his Derby car race last night for boy scouts. He was pretty excited because he took 3rd place. Although he was a little disappointed that there wasn't a trophy he was excited to win the ice cream coupons.

It was his little ego booster for the night. He worked for a couple weeks on the car ( with the help of Mom and Chris) and finally was ready for race time last night.

Chris probably wants to let everybody know that he was the one who

applied the weights so half of the victory goes to him also :-)

Back from Montana and in a new house

Hello to Everybody, its been a really long time since I've updated all of you, so here is whats been going on.

We closed on our house and it is finally ours. 2 days later I flew out to Montana to finish up the final wedding plans. I'm thinking I must have planned this right b/c poor Chris was stuck here in Colorado moving boxes for me. He did although save stuff for me to move when we got back.

Logan loved being back in Montana on the farm. He loves having his cats, dogs, and kite flying right there available to him. We had fun running around and seeing everybody.

My cousin Renee hosted a Bridal Shower for me. It was nice to get together with everybody and spend time together. Lisa of course had great games for us to plan. If your in need of games and a get together she would be the one to call.

We stayed 1 day in Deer Lodge with Yvonne and the girls. Logan enjoyed playing with Elizabeths dog and cats there.

When we got home it was fianally Logans time to take his braces off. He was exactly excited for that b/c they made his poor little thumbs feel secure. His princial at school gave him 2 coupons for Dairy Queen one for each hand. Well needless to say we had both those braces off in 2 days. He seems to be doing well with them, and they don't bother him. We'll see if the one finger straightens our for good.

This weekend we finished moving all of our stuff out of our apartment and into the new house.

Its nice to be all in one location. Everything went pretty well, minus our sleeper sofa doesn't fit through the door, and our washer/dryer don't fit where they should. So the sofa we must sell and we'll have to figure the rest out.

Chris is planning on flying for work to Nebraska in May for another work trip. He is enjoying his job and seems to be pretty busy with it. He is still trying to get use to the idea of having to mow a lawn and doing little projects around the house. It will be good for him.

Most of the wedding planning seems to be almost done and we are excited to see everybody again in August. Don't forget save the date of August 2nd.
